The Battle of Gettysburg: a free online word search

A free Gettysburg word search set on the ridges and fields of Pennsylvania, July 1863, where Pickett's men marched across a mile of open ground.

About The Battle of Gettysburg

Gettysburg was a quiet market town of about 2,400 people when two armies stumbled into each other over a handful of roads in the summer of 1863. For three days the fighting rolled across a seminary, a peach orchard, a wheatfield and a cemetery on a hill. Today you can walk the same ridge in the early morning, with the cannon standing in rows and the fields mowed short, and it is hard to talk above a whisper.
