About Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson bent over a portable writing desk in the summer of 1776 and drafted the words that would define a republic, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Back home at Monticello, his hilltop estate in Virginia, he was equally restless: designing its elegant dome, cataloguing thousands of books, and tending his beloved gardens. When he agreed to the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, he nearly doubled the size of the United States with the stroke of a pen, then dispatched Lewis and Clark westward to see what that vast new land held.

How to play
