About Jazz Drummers

Every jazz band rests on someone sitting low behind the kit, keeping time so everybody else can take chances. In the big band years the drummer pushed a seventeen-piece orchestra down the road, and later, in small smoky rooms, he became a conversation partner as much as a timekeeper. Wire brushes whispering on a snare, a ride cymbal that never quite stops shimmering: that's the sound this puzzle is built around.

How to play

  1. 1
    Find a word.Tap its first letter, then tap along to its last. The trail fills in and finishes itself when it spells a word. Or press the first letter and drag.
  2. 2
    Words run in straight lines.Across and down, and on the harder difficulties diagonally and backwards.
