About Jazz Greats
Jazz Greats gathers fifteen puzzles, from Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Miles Davis. Dave Brubeck, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Cab Calloway each get a grid of their own, and so do the instruments that carried the music: saxophone, piano, drums, and the upright bass keeping time under all of them. Two more turn to the craft itself, one on the jazz quartet and one on the language of improvisation, which is where the words get a little more adventurous.
