About Great Cathedrals

In much of Europe you can find the cathedral before you find the town. It rises over the roofs of Chartres out of a wheat plain, and over Ely out of the flat Fens, where locals call it the Ship of the Fens. Builders worked on these places for generations, and some of the people who laid the first stones never saw the roof go on.

How to play

  1. 1
    Find a word.Tap its first letter, then tap along to its last. The trail fills in and finishes itself when it spells a word. Or press the first letter and drag.
